Summary You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the NAVSUP FLCB of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER BAHRAIN. The current workweek is Sunday through Thursday. Employees hired from continental U.S. will receive Sunday Premium Pay (computed at 25% of basic hourly rate, eight hours per week). Responsibilities You will use the DISS to track security clearance eligibility investigations and adjudication status. You will administer a program for classification, declassification, and downgrading of classified information. You will adjudicate derogatory information to determine Personnel Security clearance eligibility. You will develop and maintain a current Physical Security Plan in conjunction with command’s Terrorist Threat Assessment and Terrorist Incident Response Plan. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpret security policy requirements, concepts and principles to solve issues and prepare organizational security guidance; 2) Analyze security procedures, methods, or processes to develop options, recommendations, or decisions; 3) Conduct analysis of security organizational structure to assess effectiveness of operations; and/or 4) Manage security directives relating to the Physical Security and loss prevention program. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision. Incumbent is required every three years to obtain and maintain the Anti-Terrorism Officer Level II Certification, as well as to graduate from the Naval Security Manager Course, both given by NCIS Security Training Assessment and Assistance Team (STAAT) teams. This position has been identified as a Defense Security Position (DSP) in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) Manual 3305.13-M, “DoD Security Accreditation and Certification” and selectees will be required to meet the certification requirements of the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) program. As such, the individual selected for this position must obtain and/or maintain a Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within 2 years of appointment. Incumbent “may” be coded as “key” and as such may be required be removed from their military recall status. A signed statement of understanding is required.
