Ryadah Organization for Capacity building



Project Objective: UNICEF in Iraq works with the overall objective of supporting the Government at national, regional and sub-national levels to strengthen basic social systems and services for vulnerable youth, and contributing to UNICEF Iraq’s Strategic Plan to strengthen the sectoral plan to achieve the Iraq Youth Vision 2030 and youth priorities in the National Development Plan. To this end, UNICEF collaborates with and supports government authorities and works in partnership with other UN agencies and with Riyada Organization for capacity building and community members, including youth through adolescent and youth centers. The expression aims to increase youth capacity and increase interest and ability to implement innovative skills development and youth engagement (10-24 years) that will contribute to youth empowerment and participation opportunities by increasing capacity and opportunities for social, civic and digital participation in government and UNICEF programs and priority areas detailed in the document through the U-Report Clubs project in three governorates (Mosul, Baghdad and Basra).

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Education:

University degree and sufficient experience in project management, statistics, and evaluation.

 

Qualification & experience

 

  • Experience in the field of work and its affiliated projects in the organization
  • Experience in planning well well performing well
  • Knowledge of the main evaluation methodologies (case, quantitative, mixed method, and impact) and methodologies for data collection and analysis
  • Data entry for programs
  • Work to design and implement procedures and workflows to full capacity
  • Experience in data entry and spreadsheet management and analysis.
  • Excellent social and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Excellent computer knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office & Data Collection tools
  • Excellent skills in the use of both Arabic and English in writing and orally.

Tasks:

1-Collect and consolidate all data and information relate to Project

  • Initiate project planning including conduction of necessary data collection
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis to the project team for decision making
  • Review and track the progress of the youth Empowerment project
  • Support the project staff to conduct monitoring of the activities of the project
  • Regular contact with stakeholders and targeted communities.

2-Monitoring and Progress Reporting

  • Develop monitoring matrix for data collection
  • Develop monitoring plan, tracking matrix, and implement it for the purpose
  • Compile monthly and periodical monitoring report
  • Support the Program Manager in preparing reports and regular update of the Log Frame with quantitative and qualitative information
  • Prepare necessary repots on monthly, quarterly, and annually basis

3-Document Project Success and progress systematically

  • Identifying the documents best practices and breakthroughs
  • Document process of implementation and project success
  • Develop a process based case stories by selecting individuals in the field
  • Develop a fact sheet and update on monthly sheets
  • Provide necessary information for media and publication for visibility purpose

 

4-Field Monitoring and Improvement

  • Conduct a regular field visit 50-60% to measure the progress, measure data and information
  • To coach and mentor the data collectors to optimum utilize their time in the field to improve their performance
  • Develop case stories, conduct interviews and fact sheets
  • Share the field information for management and decision making
  • Conduct Monitoring and Reporting tanning of the staff
  • Perform any assigned tasks by the project Coordinator
